Voices Amplified Program

The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC), in partnership with the Malmo Arab Film Festival (MAFF) and supported by the Swedish Institute, held the “Voices Amplified” project, which aimed to provide teams of aspiring directors, writers, and producers across Jordan with the opportunity to express their experiences through producing short narrative and documentary films.

The project built the filmmaking capabilities of the participating teams through funding and mentorship from the script development stage to post-production, all under the supervision of professionals from Sweden and Jordan. Voices Amplified consisted of two cycles: Narrative, focused on the theme of “cultural heritage”, and documentary, focused on “women empowerment”.

Throughout the two cycles, eight teams of filmmakers produced eight short documentary and narrative films which were screened in Jordan and at the 12th and 13th editions of the Malmo Arab Film Festival in Sweden, with the attendance of the filmmakers.
