The 101 Filmmaking Workshop - Amman


About the workshop:

The Royal Film Commission - Jordan is pleased to invite you to take part in the upcoming Filmmaking 101 Workshop. 

Participants will learn new methods in scriptwriting, producing and directing under the supervision and with the support of well-experienced Trainer Matt Myers. Also, participants will have the chance to produce their own short film, giving them the opportunity to participate in regional and international film festivals.   

Please do not apply for the workshop if you cannot fully commit to these full-time training sessions for 16 weeks. Also note that incomplete applications will not be considered.

Matt Myers

Matt Myers is an award-winning filmmaker who has worked on feature and documentary programs for Orion pictures, MTV, Discovery Channel, ESPN, FX Channel, PBS, CBS, NBC and Animal Planet. He has produced, directed and photographed corporate projects for fortune 50 companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck, General Electric, Alcoa and Amax Coal. Myers also has extensive experience in commercial work, including U.S. political campaigns from Mayor to the President. Myers is a two-time Fulbright Scholar with an MFA in Screenwriting from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. He has taught and developed curriculum in undergraduate and graduate programs at universities in Indiana, Jordan, Dubai, England, Beijing and Scottsdale, Arizona. He most recently was the Academic Director for the Art Institute of Portland, supervising all aspects of the six programs of Media Arts: Animation, Game Art Design, Visual Effects and Motion Graphics, Visual Game Programming, Photography and Digital Film.
