Call for submissions:
Jordan Children’s Film Festival - Deadline Extended |
The
Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) opened the call-out for
directors, producers, and rights holders to submit their films for
the first edition of the Children Film Festival (CFF)that will take
place in Amman-Jordan.
All those who have interest in participating
and competing for the festival’s prizes are advised to review the
following conditions and send the submission application no later
than COB on Sunday, 23rd October 2022.
To be eligible for consideration, all films
must meet the following requirements:
- The film must not have been released before
2020.
- The film must not have been previously broadcast or shown on any
TV channel or public online platform.
- The film must be in digital formats, MOV or MP4 in high quality.
- The film should not contain scenes or contents that are not
appropriate for the targeted age groups from 6 to 16 years old.
- A selection committee will choose eligible films to compete.
- Intellectual property rights must be considered when submitting
the films.
- The film should be translated into Arabic for non-Arabic language
films or have the required files to provide translation or dubbing
into Arabic.
- Long and short narrative and animation films will be accepted.

Call for submissions:
Berlin International Film Festival 2022 |
The 73rd Berlin International
Film Festival (hereafter referred to as the “Berlinale”)will take
place from 16th until 22nd of February 2023 and is calling for
sumbissions.
The Festival presents official
awards. Prizes are also awarded by independent juries in the
different sections.
Films can be submitted to the
following sections and programmes: Competition, Encounters,
Berlinale Shorts, Panorama, Forum, Generation, Perspektive Deutsches
Kino, Berlinale Series and Berlinale Classics.
General Regulations
• Only films that have been
registered can be considered for selection.
• Film registrations are accepted exclusively online at
www.berlinale.de.
• Films which have been submitted and viewed for previous editions
of the Berlinale may not be registered again.
• Only films completed within the 12 months prior to the start of
the Festival may be registered.
• World premieres are preferred in all sections. However, except for
German films, a theatrical release as well as a festival
participation in the country of origin will be accepted.
• While feature-length films need a minimum running time of 60 min,
Berlinale Shorts accepts films up to 30 min, short films for
Generation will be accepted up to 20 min. Films for Perspektive
Deutsches Kino (German productions only) need a minimum length of 30
min.
• Documentary forms can be submitted to all sections.
• Every submitter will receive a written notification about the
result of the selection screening.
Submission deadlines (the following
deadlines must be met without exception):
Feature-length films: registration of films and receipt of selection
screeners by 2nd November, 2022.
Short films: registration of films and receipt of selection
screeners by 16th November, 2022
Berlinale Series: registration of series and receipt of selection
screeners by 23rd November, 2022

Call for submissions:
Torino Film Lab SCRIPTLAB 2023 |
ScriptLab, the annual screenwriting
programme powered by Torino Film Lab (TFL) will be back in 2023.
ScriptLab is looking for both experienced and emerging
writers/directors (or teams of a writer and a director) coming from
all over the world. The programme targets fiction feature films,
both original ideas and adaptations, in early stages of development,
and specifically in 2023 the Lab will have a special attention for
comedy projects, in a wide definition of the genre.
Over the course of nine months, the 20 selected projects starting in
a treatment stage will grow – divided into five groups – thanks to
the support of professional tutors and script consultants and to the
peer-to-peer experience with the other fellow filmmakers.
Besides accepting submissions of projects, ScriptLab welcomes also
five story editor trainees that will work side by side with each
tutor to complete the groups.
The programme includes three residential and two online modules and
comes to and end during the TFL Meeting Event, where the teams -
together with their producer (if any) - will have the possibility to
pitch their stories to an audience of specially invited
international producers, sales agents and other film industry
professionals, to have one-to-one meetings with decision makers, and
may also receive some awards thanks to the TFL partners.

Call for submissions: Tribeca Festival |
The 22nd Tribeca Festival (TF23) will take place from 7th until 18th
June 2023. ’s official 2023 dates are June 7-18, 2023. For over 20
years, Tribeca has worked to bring the community together through
innovative storytelling across film, TV, immersive, games, talks,
audio storytelling, and more!
Rules and Regulations:
Selected projects from all categories
will be presented to the public at the Festival. Submitted projects
must not:
• have been screened or exhibited publicly in the New York region
• have had ANY public screening, broadcast, distribution, or
exhibition before 1st January, 2022.*
*Not applicable to Tribeca Games submissions.
Feature and Short Films:
Tribeca showcases short and feature films from emerging talent and
established filmmakers with distinct voices and bold new ideas.
Films invited to participate in the 2023 Tribeca Festival will be
shown in the section determined most appropriate by Festival
programmers, in their sole discretion. Films will also be considered
for the online section which will premiere on Tribeca At Home
platform.
Eligible projects include feature films (runtime ≥ 40 minutes).
Short films (runtime < 40 minutes); including documentaries,
narratives, animation, experimental films, and music videos.
Tribeca NOW:
Tribeca NOW is a platform that discovers, highlights, and celebrates
independent episodic work, including short and long form
pilots/series, of both narrative and documentary genres. Eligible
projects include episodic projects created for broadcast television
and/or streaming, and web series. Submitted projects must show the
potential for serial growth; standalone short films will not be
considered.
Additional to consideration as an Official Selection of TF23,
filmmakers submitting to Tribeca NOW will also be considered for the
Tribeca Creators Market, a first-of-its-kind, private industry
market held during TF23 that brings together emerging feature film,
episodic, immersive, podcast, and games storytellers to pitch new
projects to and network with a wide range of industry members,
including distributors, producers, networks, funders, and more.
Interested participants must have prepared pitch materials (i.e.
scripts, look books, etc.) in advance of the event for Market staff
to review. All filmmakers chosen as Official Selections of the
Tribeca NOW section will receive an automatic invitation to the
Tribeca Creators Market.
Eligible projects include
Long form episodics and short form episodics, inclusive of web
series.

Call for submissions: Toronto Arab Film Festival 2023 |
The 4th annual Toronto Arab Film
Festival will take place from 25th until 28th May, 2023 in Toronto.
The Toronto Arab Film Festival is a
non-for-profit festival dedicated to bringing films from, and about
the Arab world, to Toronto audiences.
The latest edition featured 50 films
from 19 countries, with in-person and virtual screenings, as well as
social, networking and professional development events.
In 2023, the Festival will primarily
take place in-person, with selected screenings and programming
available online.
Rules & Terms
- must have been completed after 1st
January, 2021
- must be in English, or have English subtitles at the time of
submission.
- accepted formats: shorts, features, documentaries, fiction,
experimental
- must complete the submission form via FilmFreeway indicating the
following:
- the film's premiere status
- the film's availability/restrictions for physical and virtual
screenings
- the film's geoblocking availability
Short films will be automatically entered into the following
competitions:
- Audience choice award
- Jury Award for most promising filmmaker
- Best Canadian Film*
* Only applicable to Canadian films
Feature films will be automatically
entered into competition:
- Best Feature Film Award

Call for submissions: Montreal International Animation Film Festival |
Submissions are now open for the 10th
Edition of Montreal International Animation Film Festival taking
place in August 2023.
Filmmakers are invited from all over
the world to submit their works in a wide range of genres and
styles. The Festival converges in Montreal and in Cannes France as
Animation Day in Cannes, engaging audiences and developing new
opportunities in the fastest growing and morphing cinema art form;
animation.
ANIMAZE is the Montreal based
international animation film festival and industry conference
providing a showcase for animators and animation producers to
showcase and market their works including technology and anything
animated in the digital landscape as a digital art or even for
research purposes in the field of science.
Rules & Terms
By entering your film for
consideration for the 2023 ANIMAZE Montreal International Animation
Film Festival, you authorize that your work is cleared for Festival
exhibition and accept full legal responsibility for the intellectual
property therein.
Entry into the Festival constitutes
permission to exhibit your work at ANIMAZE Montreal International
Animation Film Festival and/or at the Animation Day in Cannes.
If your film is accepted, you will
receive an invitation letter with further details, technical
requirements for downloadable files, and deadlines.
Accepted films will receive an
invitation letter by email. Films not accepted will also be notified
by email by the notification deadline.
Please make sure you submit a
Wetransfer downloadable version high resolution - ( less than 2 GB )
The Festival must receive all submissions via a Vimeo link for
review as well and as a Wetransfer film file.
*Notification dates are subject to
change, please check the Festival's website every few weeks for
updates.
