1.
Deadline extended for Jordanian Short Film Competition as part of
the 32nd European Film Festival |
The European Delegation in Jordan and
EUNIC Jordan in partnership with the Royal Film
Commission - Jordan (RFC), is organizing the 32nd
edition of the European Film Festival which will be held
online from September 3rd-13th, 2020.
The festival is calling for Jordanian short films (all
categories) to compete. The film needs to have been
produced through an educational program (university,
school, workshop) in Jordan.
Rules and regulations:
- Filmmakers should be residing in Jordan.
- The film should have been done as part of their
university/school education or training program.
- The film must be at least partly shot in Jordan.
- The film should not exceed 10 minutes.

The film must have been produced after 2017.
- Each director can submit one film only.
- All genres are accepted (narrative, documentary,
animation, experimental).
- If the film is in Arabic, it must be subtitled in
English.
- If the film is in a foreign language, it must be
subtitled in Arabic.
- The director or producer should provide two DVD or Blu-Ray
copies of the film (which will not be returned) to the
address below. Sending the film electronically by link
will not be acceptable.
Prize
Based on the selection of the jury, ONE winner will
be selected.(S)he will receive a voucher of filming
equipment in the value of 1,000 JOD.

Call for applications: The Rabat International Author Film Festival
2020 |
The Rabat International Author Film Festival (FICAR) (Festival
International du Cinema D'Auteur de Rabat) is dedicated to the
Author cinema, a true cinema of art and thought in all its forms, to
brave films, demanding, intelligent, even radicals who destroy the
clichés; films that have an urgency and a personal writing dedicated
to humanity in all its forms.
The festival will take place from 14th until 20th November
2020.

Call for applications: Berlinale Talents 2021 |
The applications for Berlinale Talents 2021 are now open (deadline:
September 1, 2020 at 12:00 noon CEST).
Established in 2003, Berlinale Talents is the festival’s talent
development programme for the world’s top 250 emerging filmmakers
and drama series creators. It consists of a creative Summit with
talks and films; Talents Labs with workshops and mentorship tailored
to specific disciplines; and numerous networking events. Berlinale
Talents is not a “school“ for those taking their very first steps
in the industry. Rather, participants are working professionals, and
experts and mentors see them as equals. During six packed days,
you’ll come into contact with hundreds of new ideas and numerous
like-minded people.

Who can apply?
Berlinale Talents is aimed at film and television professionals with
an existing track record of work and who are willing to share their
experiences with others. To be eligible, you need to have made
either one feature-length film, two short films or a high-quality
drama series that have screened internationally or won awards.
Students are only admitted in very exceptional cases, e.g. if they
have previously worked in the film business.
If you wish to apply as a distributor, sales agent or audience
designer, you should have been involved in either the distribution
or sale of at least two feature-length films or be responsible for a
cinema space or festival, e.g. as a curator. If you’re applying as a
critic, you should regularly publish film-related articles,
interviews or essays on professional platforms. If you wish to apply
as a distributor or sales agent, you should have been involved in
either the distribution or sale of at least two feature-length
films.
Berlinale Talents is aimed at emerging creatives with an existing

Call for submissions: Berlin Independent Film Festival 2021 |
The Berlin Independent Film Festival’s (BIFF) team will present
another festival of independent filmmaking from February 11-15, 2021
at one of Berlin’s favorite independent cinemas, the Babylon,
Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 30, 10178.
BIFF is dedicated to showcasing emerging international film talent.
Offering plenty of screening opportunities for indie films, BIFF is
developing into a business hub for the low-budget film industry.
BIFF hosts workshops and networking social events where attending
filmmakers help each other out with marketing advice and EFM tips.
Rules & Terms
*Preview format should be digital submission, either through a
submission platform, or via a hosting platform like Vimeo. If
digital submission is impossible for you, drop an email and the
festival will work it out.
*If you are submitting more than one entry, a separate submission is
required for each film.

for submissions: Glasgow Film Festival 2021 |
Submissions for Glasgow Film Festival 2021 are now OPEN.
GFF accepts features from all over the world. Successful
submissions are sorted into a specific programme strands, including
music features, documentary, Scottish features, films aimed at
audiences under 25 years old, and experimental features.
Feature Film and Documentaries Submission Requirements:
1. Runtime:
minimum 60 minutes
- Completion date: Projects must be completed after 1 September 2019
- Place of origin: GFF welcomes submissions from around the world.
All non-English speaking films must have English subtitles
- Premiere status: Film must be a Scottish premiere. Films available
publicly online are not eligible.
- Distribution status: Projects may have distribution.
- GFF does not accept short films.
Submission Deadlines
Early
bird deadline: Friday 21 August
Regular deadline: Friday 11 September
Late deadline: Friday 2 October
Extended deadline: Friday 23 October (midnight)

Call for submissions: The 29th Raindance Film Festival
2021
|
Raindance Film
Festival invites UK and International producers and filmmakers to
submit their films to its 29th edition that will take place between
October 27th and November 6th 2021 in central London.
Submission Eligibility
- All submissions must have been completed after 1 January 2019.
- Raindance requires at least a UK premiere for any feature film.
- There is no premiere policy for short films and music videos.
- Work-in-progress and films with distribution are accepted.
Films must be submitted via online screener ONLY. The festival does
not accept films sent over by DVD. No subsequent cuts are accepted
or more complete versions of submitted films, therefore changing or
updating the originally submitted link is not accepted. Only one
version of the film will be reviewed by programmers.
Submissions will be accepted from 1 August 2020. The early deadline
is Monday 26 April 2021; the regular deadline is Monday 24 May 2021;
the late deadline is Monday 5 July 2021. Early entry is encouraged
but in no way guarantees acceptance. Films must be submitted via
online screener ONLY.
